I have over twenty years of experience working with a range of clients in a variety of settings.  I have been in private practice in Salt Lake City for the past twelve years.  I am also a 1000-Hour Certified Yoga Instructor and have training in Trauma-Informed Yoga and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction.  While I work with a full range of clients and issues, I have specialized experience working with substance abuse, trauma, and women's issues.  My previous experience includes working at the University of Utah in the Medical School's Alcohol and Drug Abuse Clinic, as the Coordinator of the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Education Center providing treatment and prevention services, and as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Educational Psychology Department.  I have also taught as an Adjunct Professor in the Psychology Department at Westminster College and worked at Cornerstone Counseling Center in Salt Lake City on the Adult Substance Abuse Treatment Team.  I received my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology in 1998 from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1998.  I completed my pre-doctoral internship at Penn State University, and engaged in post-doctoral fellowship training at the University of Utah.
